The following lists consist of “selected” books for youth by Latin American creators, available in the U.S. and published in English, Spanish, or bilingual/multilingual.
Latin America is defined as the 20 countries plus Puerto Rico (U.S. territory) in which the main language is a Latin-Romance language. Indigenous cultures to these territories (pre-European colonization) might be included under the name of the existing country/ies where they are mainly located (for example, books by Mapuche creators might be under Chile or Argentina.)
